Dear KICS members,

The new year 2022 has come. Although the COVID-19 pandemic is still continuing now, we sincerely hope that this year, we will overcome this pandemic and recover our daily happiness.

While we are still far from the pre-COVID period, we invite you to the KICS Winter Conference 2022 in renowned Alpensia Resort, Pyeongchang. This winter conference, held both online and offline, will proceed safely in compliance with the government’s COVID-19 guidelines and will provide the best opportunities for academic exchanges and social networks.

First of all, as a keynote, we will have “Design your perspective” by PYH Co. CEO Yong-hu Park. We will also invite Prof. Robert W. Heath, Jr. from NCSU to have his lecture on “Going forward with MIMO communication.” Four tutorials on the latest ICT technologies, five presentations of young researchers, and around 30 special sessions are also prepared. In particular, at this conference there will be a special poster session at ‘Gather town’ platform for at which you can experience the latest ICT research trends for the metaverse. It should be a good opportunity to find out new technologies made possible due to the advancement of technologies of 5G/6G, together with the recent interests in the metaverse.
The success of the KICS Winter Conference 2022 depends on the active participation of our members. At this conference, all participants are encouraged to discuss various academic programs in real-time, and the recorded content will also be provided during and even after the conference. By communicating both online and offline, we believe the KICS Winter Conference 2022 will be a lively and passionate place to exchange new ideas.
